Steered by the mission to foster community-driven stakeholder development, TIER2 has launched its Pilot activities campaign #TIER2Pilots. These eight pilots, co-designed with the project’s stakeholders, aim to develop effective reproducibility-related tools and practices across the research lifecycle to promote reproducibility in diverse epistemic contexts and diverse stakeholders.
For the upcoming weeks, we will be sharing insights into each Pilot's journey, continuing with Pilot 5 – Reproducibility Promotion Plans for Funders.
The goal of this Pilot is to develop a policy template with recommendations for funders to foster reproducible practices both in the research they fund (evaluation and monitoring), as well as their internal practices. We use several workshops with funders to create a reproducibility promotion plan. Secondly, we will collaborate with two pilot funding institutions to test these plans. With these plans, TIER2 aims to help funders improve the research quality of the projects they fund.
Starting in March 2024, the Pilot will be in development until April 2025 targeting representatives from national and supranational funding organisations under the guidance of Joeri Tijdink and Barbara Leitner from AmsterdamUMC.
