Now open: TIER2 2024 Award for Establishing a Reproducibility Network

5 February 2024

Following the success of our 2023 open call, where consortia in Georgia and Ukraine were awarded, TIER2 is now accepting applications for establishing a Reproducibility Network, inviting consortia in “Widening participation” countries to apply.

Reproducibility Networks are national, peer-led consortia of researchers that aim to promote and ensure rigorous research practices by establishing appropriate training activities, designing and evaluating research improvement efforts, disseminating best practices and working with stakeholders to coordinate efforts. As part of its mission to boost reproducibility, TIER2 is supporting nations in underrepresented areas to establish new Reproducibility Networks.

Consortia from eligible countries are invited to submit proposals, with the selected winner receiving a 5,000 Euro grant. This funding is designated for the third winning consortium to organise an initial meeting, laying the groundwork for a Reproducibility Network within its country.

Consortia or networks of two or more reproducibility initiatives within the same Horizon Europe "Widening Participation" country are eligible to apply. Applications will be assessed based on feasibility, scope, and sustainability, with a deadline set for Wednesday, 1 May at 11pm/23:00 (CET). Detailed instructions and guidelines can be found here.

TIER2 looks forward to supporting the growth of reproducibility initiatives in "Widening Participation" countries and the establishment of a new Reproducibility Network contributing to the integrity and reliability of scientific research.
