TIER2 is launching a new social media campaign #ReproducibilityNetworks. This campaign aims to shine a light on the vital work being done by Reproducibility Networks and to foster a deeper understanding of their role in enhancing the quality and reliability of scientific research.
Each week, we will introduce a different Reproducibility Network, explaining what they do and highlighting their upcoming events and initiatives. Our goal is to promote the best practices and policies that these networks advocate, thereby supporting the broader mission of TIER2 to increase the reproducibility of scientific research results.
What are Reproducibility Networks?
Reproducibility Networks (RNs) are consortia with a cross-disciplinary mission to enhance the openness, trustworthiness, and transparency of scientific research. In recent years, several of these peer-led networks have formed across the world, working in parallel and serving as national hubs to facilitate interdisciplinary collaborations and discussions among scientists and other stakeholders, including funders and publishers. In addition, RNs provide relevant training and infrastructure to build capacity amongst stakeholders. RNs vary in their individual structures and governance. However, all RNs work towards the common goal of changing the research ecosystem by supporting integrity and quality of research while increasing trust in science.
By following our social media accounts, you can stay informed about these networks and learn how you can contribute to improving reproducibility in scientific research.
