Reflections on the 2025 Joint Assembly

4 August 2025

The 2025 Joint General Assembly, held at University College London, brought together the OSIRIS, TIER2, and iRISE consortia in a shared effort to embed reproducibility, inclusivity, and transparency across European research systems. Following the assembly, OSIRIS partners shared detailed reflections in a series of news items and videos on the OSIRIS website, offering in-depth analysis of the sessions, outcomes, and key themes.

More than a meeting, the Assembly served as a platform for integration, where participants exchanged tools, refined strategies, and co-developed recommendations to inform institutional policy and funder practice. Workshops and panels addressed key topics, such as reproducibility metrics, epistemic diversity, and equity in research practice.

“The assembly was not just about showcasing outputs,
but about building momentum and community around a shared vision.”

—Dr Inge Stegeman, OSIRIS Project Coordinator

With over 70 participants from research, policy, and civil society, the event demonstrated how collaboration across consortia can drive systemic change.

OSIRIS has released a collection of videos that offer a dynamic perspective on the Assembly, including interviews, behind-the-scenes footage, and highlights from workshops. These allow those who missed the event to engage directly with the ideas and discussions that shaped it.
