Key outputs of TIER2 are now available on the Horizon Results Platform

As the TIER2 comes to a close, several of its results have been made available on the Horizon Results Platform, a central hub for sharing EU-funded research. As such, it will help increase the visibility of these important outputs and the mission of the project's research, reaching new and wider audiences. The following results are now accessible:

  • Conceptual Framework: Provided to assess the relevance and feasibility of reproducibility across different epistemic contexts, helping researchers navigate diverse knowledge practices.

  • Pilot 3 – Reproducible Workflows: Introduces SCHEMA lab, which enhances reproducibility by capturing datasets, software environments, and performance metrics, supporting FAIR and reusable digital science practices.

  • Pilot 4 – Reproducibility Checklists for Computational Social Science: A practical checklist covering data, code, computational environment, and sharing requirements, ensuring methods are easier to understand, reuse, and evaluate.

  • Pilot 5 – Reproducibility Promotion Plan for Funders: A template offering actionable recommendations for funders to advance reproducible research, covering evaluation, policy definitions, and incentives.

  • Pilot 8 – Editorial Reference Handbook for Reproducibility and FAIRness: Guidance for scholarly publishers to support sharing digital research objects and implement FAIR principles by addressing editorial workflow gaps and aligning stakeholder practices.

  • ReproHub: A central resource, which consolidates TIER2 outputs and connects users with initiatives such as OSIRIS and iRISE to foster cross-disciplinary collaboration.

  • Co-creation events and DEIA Guide: Tools to embed Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA) in scientific events, helping organisers create environments where all participants are valued and included.

  • Reproducibility Networks: Three new national Reproducibility Networks have been established in Horizon Europe “Widening Participation” countries, serving as hubs for promoting rigorous, open, and high-quality research while facilitating interdisciplinary collaborations.

TIER2 has also published three policy briefs addressing key challenges in research reproducibility, including epistemic diversity in policymaking, the integration of reproducibility practices within European research infrastructures, and the role of Open Science in building trust in artificial intelligence:

By providing practical tools, policy guidance, and collaborative platforms, the project not only supports individual researchers and institutions but also helps shape a more open, trustworthy, and efficient European research ecosystem for the future.
