The annual meetings of the three EU projects iRISE, OSIRIS and TIER2 took place last week (3-4 July), uniting stakeholder representatives and partners.
The opening day brought participants together for a joint meeting focusing on cross-cutting themes identified by the consortia. Key topics included the next generation of careers in metascience, core outcomes for reproducibility interventions, equity, diversity, and inclusion, and recommendations to improve reproducibility. Members of the three projects also presented some of their latest results, including:
◽ Continuously updated summary of interventions to improve reproducibility
◽ Reproducibility Promotion Plans for Funders
◽ Editorial Reference Handbook
◽ Glossary of reproducibility definitions
◽ Virtual laboratory for managing computational experiments
◽ A tool to track & enhance reproducibility
TIER2 members, 4 July 2025
Following the joint session, we transitioned into project-specific meetings. As TIER2 enters its final six months, we began by consulting our advisory board on how best to tell the story of our results, our challenges and how it all comes together. We then continued with discussions on:
⬜️ How are our Pilots progressing?
⬜️ How is TIER2’s Reproducibility Hub shaping up to showcase our tools and practices after the end of the project?
⬜️ How did we apply reproducibility practices in our own work?
⬜️ And the big question: how do we meaningfully synthesise it all?
