On 7 March at 15 CET, the Center for Open Science (COS) is hosting a free virtual symposium co-organised with Sven Ulpts and co-sponsored by TIER2. Critical Perspectives on the Metascience Reform Movement will feature a diverse lineup of experts addressing critical topics in scientific research and reform. 

Throughout the event, attendees will explore various themes, including the social dynamics driving new research processes, the practical implications of open research practices, a view on replication as forward-looking by generating trust in new data instead of the classical backward-looking use of replication, and the potential impact of metascience innovations on the traditional framework of scientific individualism. Speakers will present their insights during 20-minute sessions, leading to a panel discussion and an interactive Q&A session.
